The end of Alzheimer’s disease starts here. The annual Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s™ will be held this year Sept. 30 at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. To raise awareness and funds for this cause, Hudson residents have formed Team Hudson in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Join in these final days of fundraising and awareness before the Walk:
Tuesday, Sept. 18, Team Hudson captains will be holding an informal Q&A session from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hudson Public Library (Tavares room), 3 Washington St.
Friday, Sept. 21, celebrate World Alzheimer’s Day by wearing purple and stopping by Dunkin Donuts for a purple-frosted doughnut.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s unites the entire community – family, friends, co-workers, social and religious groups and more – in a display of combined strength and dedication in the fight against this devastating disease. There is no fee to register, but each participant is expected to fundraise to contribute to the cause and raise awareness. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help each participant reach their fundraising goal.
